Scrap with Nay arranges the collection of scrap and end-of-life vehicles primarily across North West England, with nearby areas considered. This policy explains what we do with the personal details you give us.

What we collect

When you submit a collection request we collect your name, mobile number, address and postcode, the collection address if it differs, your vehicle registration, make and model, the vehicle’s condition, and any optional details you choose to add (mileage, MOT status, damage, notes and email address).

Why we use it

We use these details only to contact you about your collection request, to arrange and carry out the collection of your vehicle, and to keep the records we are required to keep when a vehicle is collected for recycling. We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep collection requests for as long as we need them to complete the collection and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted.

Who we share it with

Your details may be shared with the driver or recovery operator collecting your vehicle, and with our service providers who host this website and our records on our behalf. We may also share information where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, contact us using the details in the footer of this site.
